Tajikistan and China Chair the 45th Session of the Joint Control Group

DUSHANBE, 27.12.2023 (NIAT Khovar) – The 45th session of the Joint Control Group, created in accordance with the agreements between Tajikistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and China on strengthening confidence in the military field in the border area of 1996 and on the mutual reduction of armed forces in the border area of 1997, was held in Beijing under the co-chairmanship of Tajikistan and China.
The parties, based on mutual understanding, expressed their readiness to continue cooperation and strengthen the level of trust in the military sphere in the border areas.
Also, on the eve of the 45th session of the Joint Control Group, a meeting of the Joint Party was held under the chairmanship of Tajikistan.
Following the session, the corresponding protocols were signed.
The next session of the Joint Control Group, by agreement of the parties, will be held in Kazakhstan.
