251 new industrial enterprises launched in Tajikistan

DUSHANBE, 07.08.2024 /NIAT «Khovar»/. In the first half of 2024, 251 new industrial enterprises were put into operation in Tajikistan, the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the republic reports.
1,714 new jobs were created. «The volume of industrial production amounted to 22.6 billion somoni, and its real growth rate is 11.5%,» the source reports.
The pace of development of the industry is ensured by a 21.4% increase in the extractive industry, an 11% increase in the processing industry and a 1.6-fold increase in water supply and wastewater treatment.
