DUSHANBE, 29.08.2024 /NIAT Khovar/. On August 29, in the Palace of the Nation, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, presented in honor of the 33rd anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan the highest state awards, prizes and honorary titles to employees of various professions who have commendable results in their activities.

First of all, the President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, congratulated those present on the occasion of the 33rd anniversary of the sacred national holiday — State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The Head of State emphasized that «the awarding ceremony held in a solemn atmosphere is a symbol of the state leadership’s respect for the meritorious services of each person. Appreciation with a state award is also a recognition of effective and exemplary state and public, production, business, creative and cultural activities in the way of strengthening state independence, development of national economy and culture, and maintaining peace and stability in society.

During his speech, the Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, specially emphasized the loyal service of specialists of various professions, including scientists and teachers, doctors, poets and writers, people of culture and art, diplomatic staff, workers, builders, agrarians and entrepreneurs, who made a valuable contribution to the development of our dear country.

The President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, reflected on the implementation of the constructive goals of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan during the 33 years of independence and the efforts of the people for the development of industry, energy, transport, construction and agriculture, and confidently stated that our honorable people will double their efforts in the future for the sake of prosperity of the Motherland, progress of the state and peace and tranquility of every family.

After the speech of the Head of State, a large group of active representatives of society, employees of various professions were decorated with state awards.

Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon, at the ceremony of presenting state awards, emphasized the contribution of diplomatic staff, including the extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassadors of the Republic of Tajikistan to the countries of the world in the path of strengthening and expanding diplomatic relations with foreign countries.

As a result of these appreciations, 4 diplomatic employees were awarded with state awards today.

At this ceremony, more than 200 people received state awards of the Republic of Tajikistan for high labor achievements, effective work in public service, development of science and culture and other sectors of the national economy.

By the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan «On awarding employees of science and culture, healthcare, production of goods and services, local government bodies, other civil servants and entrepreneurs with state awards of the Republic of Tajikistan», a number of employees were awarded in accordance with Article 69 of the Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan state awards of the Republic of Tajikistan for their valuable contribution to the development of science and culture of the country, protection of public health, effective work in public service and high industrial and entrepreneurial achievements.

One person was awarded with the honorary title of People’s Writer of Tajikistan, 3 people — with the honorary title of People’s Poet of Tajikistan, 1 person — with the honorary title of People’s Artist of Tajikistan, 4 people — with the honorary title of Honored Artist of Tajikistan, 18 people — with the honorary title of Honored Worker of Tajikistan, 3 people — with the “Sharaf” Order, 1st degree, 13 people – with the “Sharaf” Order, 2nd degree, 112 people – with the Meritorious Service medal, 2 persons – with the “Shafqat” medal, 7 people — with the Honorary Diploma of the Republic of Tajikistan.

According to the Decision of the Committee of the State Prize of the Republic of Tajikistan named after Abuabdullo Rudaki in the field of literature, art, architecture and journalism in 2024, which was approved by the Resolution of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, 6 people were awarded with the State Prize of the Republic of Tajikistan named after Abuabdullo Rudaki.

Based on the Decision of the Committee of the State Prize of the Republic of Tajikistan named after Abuali ibn Sino (Avicenna) in the fields of science and technology under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan in 2024, 2 people were honored with the State Prize of the Republic of Tajikistan named after Abuali ibn Sino.

According to the Decision of the Committee of the State Prize of Academician Bobojon Gafurov in 2024, one person gained this state award.

From the first days of independence, the Government of the country has made social protection of the population, the fields of science, education, health and culture among the priority areas of its policy, and is implementing all the necessary measures to improve the working conditions and living standards of the employees of the mentioned fields.

The establishment of the State Prize of the Republic of Tajikistan for scientists and teachers of natural, exact and mathematical sciences and the adoption of the new edition of the Regulation of the Prize named after Ismoili Somoni for young scientists who have done outstanding work in the field of science and technology are among the next steps of the Government of the country. This time, 12 people were awarded the Ismoili Somoni Prize at the state awards ceremony.

We remind that on March 18, 2020, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, in a meeting with the country’s scientists, proposed that the Government of the country shall establish a special state award to encourage scientists and teachers of natural and mathematical sciences and award 15 best teachers and scientists with this award every year in order to improve the quality of scientific research in all academic scientific institutes and centers.

Therefore, at today’s awarding ceremony, 15 people were decorated with the State Prize of the Republic of Tajikistan for scientists and teachers of natural, exact and mathematical sciences in 2024.

Based on the Decision of the Committee of the Prize of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan in the field of education in 2024, 7 people were awarded this prize in the field of education.

The purpose of conferring the mentioned awards is to implement the state policy in the field of science, education and innovation by encouraging scientists and teachers of natural, exact and mathematical subjects, to develop these subjects, promote effective creative activity of scientists and teachers, to increase their status in society, improve the teaching and learning methods of natural, exact and mathematical subjects among pupils and students.

At the end of the awarding ceremony, the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon once again congratulated all those who were honored by the Head of State with high awards for their fruitful work in the development and progress of the society, expressing with confidence that the loyal children of the Motherland will continue to direct their intellectual potential, knowledge, experience, skills and efforts to make independent Tajikistan even more prosperous and advanced, to strengthen peace and tranquility, political stability, national unity, and to raise the level of well-being of the country’s residents.
