DUSHANBE, 22.08.2024 /NIAT “Khovar”/. After the meeting and negotiations of the highest level of Tajikistan and Kazakhstan, a ceremony of signing of 16 new documents of cooperation was held in the presence and with the participation of the heads of state.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Honorable Kassym-Jomart Tokaev, signed the «Treaty on allied relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan».

Then, the following documents were signed:

— Memorandum of understanding between the Central Election and Referendum Commission of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Central Election Commission of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

— Memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan on cooperation in the field of industry;

— Memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of oil and gas between the Ministry of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Energy of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

— Memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of innovative development and digitization, training and advanced training of agricultural personnel;

— Memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Digital Development, Innovation and Space Industry of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

— Memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Committee of Television and Radio under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Culture and Information of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

— Memorandum of understanding between the Committee of Architecture and Construction under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Industry and Construction of the Republic of Kazakhstan on cooperation in the development of information and communication technology in the construction sector;

— Memorandum of understanding between the Food Safety Committee under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Veterinary Control and Inspection Committee of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan on cooperation in the veterinary field;

— The Program of cooperation in the field of physical education and sports between the Committee for Youth Affairs and Sports under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of the Republic of Kazakhstan;

— Memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of standardization, metrology and conformity assessment between the Agency for Standardization, Metrology, Certification and Trade Inspection under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Trade and Integration of the Republic of Kazakhstan

— Memorandum of understanding between the Executive body of state authority of Khatlon Province of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Akimat of Almaty region of the Republic of Kazakhstan on commercial, economic, scientific, technical, humanitarian and cultural cooperation;

— Memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Execution Service under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Kazakhstan in the field of execution of court documents and documents of other authorities;

— Memorandum of cooperation between SUE «Tajikistan Railways» and JSC «Kazakhstan National Railway Company»;

— Memorandum of understanding between SUE «Rare minerals of Tajikistan» and JSC «National nuclear company «Kazatomprom»;

— Memorandum of cooperation between the Youth Union of Tajikistan and the Youth Complex of Kazakhstan.

After the ceremony of signing the documents, the Heads of State Emomali Rahmon and Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a press conference for a wide range of journalists.

The Head of our state specially emphasized the historical importance of signing the «Agreement on allied relations between the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Kazakhstan» and stated, among other things, that «this important document will undoubtedly open a new page in the history of cooperation between the two countries, and I believe that it will become a solid basis for our strategic partnership and alliance.»
