DUSHANBE, 19.09.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 19, the construction of the 3-story building of the State Institution «Republican Music-Drama Theater of Dangara» began with the laying of the foundation stone by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali.

According to the project, the theater building will consist of 4 large halls and numerous other rooms, which will have a total of 1,700 seats.

The main hall is located on the first floor of the building and has 1,100 seats. Two showrooms will be built on the second floor and one more on the third floor.

During the presentation of the project of the theater building, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the height of the main hall will be 18 meters, it will also have an orchestra seat, two side stages, a backstage, rehearsal rooms and other necessary facilities of the international level.

11 educational classrooms will be established on the third floor of the building to train specialists in the fields of singing, directing and musicianship at a high professional level.

On the upper floors, exhibition and artistic halls, spaces for exercises and training, artistic workshops, a music hall and other rooms are planned.

In the basement of the theater building, an art museum, a tailoring workshop, a warehouse for storing clothes and musical instruments, a changing point and other technical rooms will be built.

During the construction of the theater building, more than 150 local residents will be provided with temporary work and good wages.

On the basis of the project, the courtyard of the theater building will be greened, a parking lot for vehicles and fountains will be built.

The Republican Music-Drama Theater of Dangara district will be built in a unique style of national architecture and will meet all the modern requirements of world theater production.

Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon got acquainted with the project of the new theater building and gave concrete instructions to the builders and other officials to complete the construction works at a high level and quality within the specified timeline and to create conditions for harmony and creativity.
