DUSHANBE, 23.09.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 23, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, met in New York with the Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Vladimir Voronkov.
Issues of bilateral cooperation and dangers and threats of the modern world were discussed at the meeting.
It was emphasized that recently the international community has been facing more and more threats of extremist, terrorist nature and armed conflicts.
In order to deal with such threats, it was considered necessary to use the capabilities of relevant services, special structures of international and regional organizations.
It was mentioned that at the upcoming conference in the State of Kuwait within the framework of the «Dushanbe Process on Counter-Terrorism» the pressing issues of combating international terrorism will be discussed.
There was also an exchange of views on other topics related to ensuring security and stability in the region and the world.
