DUSHANBE, 11.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 11, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, held a sincere and constructive meeting with leaders and activists in Nurobod district.

Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon at the beginning of the meeting congratulated all the hardworking residents of Nurobod district on the occasion of the great national holiday — 33rd anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

It was emphasized that the people of Rasht Valley, including Nurobod district, are very hardworking and hospitable, and today the result of their determination and efforts for the prosperity of the district and sustainable development of the country is clearly visible.

Construction and renovation of 233 structures were planned in Nurobod district only within the framework of the construction and development activities plan for the celebration of the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, emphasized that during the period of independence, more than 4 billion somoni were allocated for the socio-economic development of the district, 1.5 billion somoni from the state budget.

To date, 14 state investment projects worth more than 400 million somoni have been completed in the district, and the implementation of 8 more projects is ongoing, within which almost 1.4 billion somoni have been spent. State investment projects in the direction of increasing the quality of education and professional training, improving the state of electricity supply infrastructure, construction and reconstruction of highways, social protection of the population, development of agriculture and other priority areas are being implemented.

Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon stated that in addition to all measures to solve social and economic issues, ensure the sustainable development of the district and further increase the level of well-being of residents, the «Social and Economic Development Program of Nurobod district for 2021-2025» is being implemented. It includes 265 projects worth 2.4 billion somoni. To date, 87 projects worth 40 million somoni have been implemented, which is only 33 percent of the total projects of the program.

In a meeting with the leaders and activists of Nurobod district, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, also spoke about the constructive actions of the Government of the country, including the implementation of large projects for the construction of roads and bridges, through which the passenger traffic will be improved and relations with foreign countries will be facilitated.

The Head of State also spoke about the provision of loans by financial credit organizations to entrepreneurs, the development of industries, agriculture, education, health care and the employment of residents of the district, and gave instructions and assignments to the officials for access of the population to banking services, improvement of the quality of education and decent medical services.

In connection with the state of the modern world and problems related to climate change, rising food prices, and commercial and political conflicts, the Honorable Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, invited those present to supply the consumer market of the country with their own products and to work twice as hard.

After the speech, a group of representatives of various professions spoke and raised questions, requests and beneficial proposals, which were reviewed by the Honorable Head of State Emomali Rahmon.
