A regular meeting of the Council for Cooperation in the field of Fundamental Science of the CIS member takes place in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 24.10.2024 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The meeting of the Council for Cooperation in the Field of Fundamental Science of the member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States was held on October 23 in Dushanbe. The meeting was held within the framework of the V Forum of Scientists of the CIS member states.
The meeting of the Council was attended by representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan (as an observer) and the Executive Committee of the Commonwealth.
The Council members discussed the implementation of the Plan of Main measures for the development of cooperation in the field of fundamental science for 2023-2024 and the formation of a draft of a similar document for 2025-2026, reviewed the draft joint program on virology and the COVID-19 pandemic.
In addition, the meeting discussed issues related to the development of draft Strategies for the Development of Science in the Commonwealth of Independent States and the Interstate Program of Fundamental Research of the CIS member states, the holding of the VI Forum of Scientists of the Commonwealth in 2026. It is proposed to hold the next Forum in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It is planned that the next meeting of the Council for Cooperation in the field of Fundamental Science will be held in 2025 in the Russian Federation.
