CIS summit agenda announced

DUSHANBE, 07.10.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – The CIS Heads of State Council summit is set to take place in Moscow on 8 October, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.
The heads of state will exchange views on cooperation within the CIS, and decide on the presidency in the CIS in 2025. The summit will also discuss and adopt an address to the peoples of the CIS and the world community in connection with the 80th anniversary of the Victory of the Soviet people in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945, consider the activities of the CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly on strengthening integration cooperation and a number of other issues.
The heads of state will sign decisions on declaring the CIS Capitals of Culture for the next three years, and adopt amendments to a number of documents on cooperation in legal matters and security.
The participants of the meeting are also expected to adopt a number of statements by the heads of the CIS member states.
On 7 October Moscow is set to host a regular meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council.
