DUSHANBE, 10.10.2024 /NIAT Khovar/. On October 10, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received in the Palace of the Nation the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of Russia, Valentina Matviyenko.
At the meeting, issues of multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia and the role of inter-parliamentary relations were discussed.
Honorable Emomali Rahmon, in particular, stated that we consider parliamentary cooperation to be an important part of the joint effort to develop the entire range of our interstate relations.
The main topics of the conversation were issues of a humanitarian nature, including the development of cooperation in the fields of education, science and technology, as well as the regulation of labor migration.
It was emphasized with satisfaction that the development of cooperation between the regions of the two countries has become an important factor in the expansion of trade and economic relations and the increase in the bilateral flow of goods.
It was assured that the current dialogue between the leaders and members of the parliamentary institutions of the two countries in Dushanbe will serve to promote and strengthen the spirit of strategic partnership and alliance.
