DUSHANBE, 02.01.2025 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Republican Contest «Science – Source of Education» is held under the supervision and patronage of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, with the aim of developing technical thinking, promoting a scientific worldview, gaining access to techniques and technologies, expanding inventiveness and innovation, linking science with production, attracting more students and other segments of society to the study of mathematical, exact and natural sciences, as well as discovering and presenting new talents in these areas.

The holding of this contest in 2021-2024 showed that interest in studying mathematical, exact and natural sciences has increased significantly among the country’s youth and teenagers, and has become the basis for finding and educating highly qualified engineering and technical specialists.

In order to further improve and strengthen the process of holding the contest and encourage more participants in 2025, a new nomination — «artificial intelligence and programming» was also added to the Contest, and the number of places for winners in the republican round was increased from 132 places to 156 places.

At the same time, by direct instruction of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the amount of the prize money for all winners of the contest was doubled, and 9,220,000 (nine million two hundred and twenty thousand) somoni were allocated for the Contest from the Reserve Fund of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Thus, in 2025, 30 thousand somoni were set for each third place winner, 50 thousand somoni for second place, 70 thousand somoni for first place, and 140 thousand somoni for the Grand Prize winner.

At the same time, a bonus of 20 thousand somoni has been set for each teacher of general education institutions whose students win 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Grand Prize in the Contest.

In addition, students who study in fee-paying groups at educational institutions will be transferred to a free education group if they win 1st, 2nd, 3rd, or Grand Prize in the republican round of the Contest.
