Today, a telephone conversation was held between the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Honorable Shehbaz Sharif.
At the beginning of the conversation, our Head of State and the Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan exchanged congratulations on the occasion of the blessed Eid al-Fitr.
At the same time, the Leader of the Nation expressed his best wishes to His Excellency Shehbaz Sharif for good health and new achievements, and wished all the friendly people of Pakistan lasting peace and stability, progress and prosperity.
In the continuation of the conversation, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of friendly relations and multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Pakistan. The President of Tajikistan and the Prime Minister of Pakistan expressed satisfaction with the growing process of development and expansion of relations between the two countries.
The parties emphasized the importance of continuing interstate dialogue as a key factor in further promoting the partnership between the two countries and discussed the agenda of upcoming top-level and high-level meetings in bilateral and multilateral formats.
They also exchanged views on current international and regional issues.
