Tajikistan and UNESCO Discuss Strengthening Cooperation

DUSHANBE, 13.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 12, in Paris, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan, Chair of the National Commission of Tajikistan for UNESCO, Sirojiddin Muhriddin, met with the President of the 42nd Session of the UNESCO General Conference, Ms. Simona-Mirela Miculescu.
The parties exchanged views on expanding cooperation between Tajikistan and UNESCO, with a particular focus on the fields of science, education, culture, and environmental protection.
The importance of enhancing joint efforts to support sustainable development and preserve cultural and natural heritage was emphasized.
Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to promoting initiatives that serve the shared interests of UNESCO Member States and contribute to global peace and cooperation.
