Tajikistan’s National Academy of Sciences Expands Cooperation with UAE-Based TRENDS Research and Advisory Center

DUSHANBE, 02.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On 30 May, on the sidelines of the High-Level International Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation, the President of the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, Kobiljon Khushvakhtzoda, met with Abdulaziz Ahmad Alshehhi, Deputy Executive Director of the TRENDS Research and Advisory Center based in the United Arab Emirates.
According to the National Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, the meeting marked an important step toward deepening bilateral cooperation. Both parties agreed to formalize their partnership through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The MoU is expected to stimulate collaboration in the fields of humanities, economics, and innovation sciences. A particular focus will be placed on the training and exchange of young researchers, including master’s and doctoral students, by creating opportunities for their involvement in the scientific and research institutions of both countries.
The sides also highlighted prospects for joint publication of scientific books, articles, and monographs, as well as the implementation of collaborative research projects across areas of mutual interest.
The partnership aims to build academic bridges and strengthen Tajikistan’s engagement with international research networks, enhancing its role in addressing global and regional challenges through science and innovation.
