International Artificial Intelligence Conference to Be Held in Dushanbe in October

DUSHANBE, 30.07.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – Sherali Kabir, Minister of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, held a video conference meeting with Jerry Ma, Vice President for Global Policy and International Relations at Perplexity AI.
The video conference was organized as part of cooperation between Perplexity AI and the Artificial Intelligence Council under the Ministry.
Sherali Kabir informed his interlocutor about the recent adoption by the UN General Assembly of a resolution on the development of artificial intelligence in Central Asia, initiated by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
The Minister emphasized that the adoption of this resolution and the subsequent establishment of the Regional Artificial Intelligence Center in Dushanbe open broad prospects for cooperation with Perplexity AI.
Representatives of Perplexity AI noted the significant progress made by Tajikistan in implementing its National Artificial Intelligence Development Strategy through 2040.
The Minister invited the company’s leadership to participate in the International Artificial Intelligence Conference, which will take place in Dushanbe on October 24–25.
