DUSHANBE, 31.07.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On July 31, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Head of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.

At the meeting, first, the report of the Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, Rahim Saidzoda, was heard on the Action Plan of the State Program for the Development of Educational Institutions in Khatlon Province for 2022-2027, in the second stage for 2025-2027.

In particular, it was emphasized that the draft decree of the Government of the country is intended to solve the problem of seating capacity in educational institutions in Khatlon Province, eliminate the buildings of educational institutions in a state of emergency, and create favorable conditions for education.

It was said that within the framework of this project, it is planned to construct 165 buildings of educational institutions for 53 thousand 303 seats for a total amount of 957 million 850 thousand somoni.

By decree of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Action Plan of the State Program for the Development of Educational Institutions in Khatlon Province for 2022-2027 was approved, with the second stage for 2025-2027.

The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, instructed the relevant structures to take the necessary measures to implement the Program’s Action Plan and to submit information to the Government of the country on the progress of its implementation every year.

It was also instructed to accelerate the process of digitization and transition to an electronic system for managing the sector and education and training, and to implement this method of operation as soon as possible.

It was emphasized that the implementation of the e-government program in the Republic of Tajikistan should also be ensured as quickly and effectively as possible in all sectors.

During the meeting, the draft laws of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Tajikistan”, “On the Status of Teachers”, “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Education” and “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Military Conscription and Military Service” were approved and submitted for consideration to the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan.

The purpose of developing the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Status of Teachers” is to raise the status of teachers, protect their dignity and honor, create favorable conditions for the development of their professionalism and activity, and provide for more benefits for them.

The purpose of developing the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Amendments to the Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On Education” is to align the provisions of this law with the draft Law of the Republic of Tajikistan “On the Status of Teachers” and harmonize the provisions provided for by them.

During the meeting, issues regarding the Food Security Program of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026-2030 and the Program for Training Specialists from Youth for Sectors of the Economy of the Republic of Tajikistan for 2025-2029 were also discussed, and relevant decisions were made on them.

After discussing the issues on the agenda of the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, gave instructions and assignments to officials of state structures to fulfill the tasks, seriously prepare for the autumn-winter season of 2025-2026, comprehensively prepare for the new academic year of 2025-2026, and expand development work to meet the national holiday — 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.
