DUSHANBE, 26.08.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On August 26, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, made a working trip to the cities and districts of the Rasht Valley to familiarize himself with the living conditions of the people and open facilities for various purposes.
The working trip of the Head of State began in Tojikobod district.
In the newly built village of Langari Shoh rural community, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, commissioned new residential buildings for citizens who were affected by the earthquake.
It was reported that here, with the help and support of the caring Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, a plot of land was allocated to the affected families, and 14 four-room residential buildings were built for families whose homes were completely destroyed and 22 two-room houses for families whose homes were partially damaged, a total of 36 residential buildings equipped with household items and necessary accessories were built.
The houses were built with a new design and using high-quality construction materials, and have bedrooms, living rooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and other necessary amenities.
We will recall that as a result of the earthquake on April 13, 2025, 471 structures were damaged in 13 villages of the Tojikiobod district. Including 33 fully and 164 partially damaged residential buildings, 3 educational institutions, 2 medical centers, a regional hospital and other auxiliary facilities. The total damage amounted to nearly 8 million somoni.
From the first moments of the natural disaster in the Tojikiobod and Rasht districts, by order of the Head of State Emomali Rahmon, a Standing Commission was established to determine the extent of damage and eliminate the consequences of the natural disaster at the expense of relevant ministries and agencies, and first of all, assistance from the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, was provided to the affected residents of the Tojikiobod district in the amount of more than 50 million somoni.
With the support of the Government of the country and the contribution of relevant ministries and agencies, residential houses were built and put into operation for 197 families in the villages of Qal’ai Labi Ob and Langari Shoh within 4 months.
The newly built village is now provided with the necessary infrastructure, including drinking water, roads, electricity, a medical center, a sports field and other necessary facilities.
To provide the population with access to drinking water, an 11-kilometer drinking water pipeline was brought, 2,500 meters of the road inside the village were fully paved and its streets were illuminated.
Due to the fact that most of the villages in the district are located in vulnerable areas, the Head of State instructed officials to continue to build residential houses and other social facilities in compliance with architectural and construction regulations and using high-quality products that are resistant to natural disasters.
Here, the President of the country got acquainted with the projects of new facilities that will be built in the near future in this area.
According to the plan, on the instructions of the Head of State, a general education institution for 600 students in two shifts, a preschool educational institution for 100 children, and other service facilities will be built in the newly built village of Langari Shoh.
After getting acquainted with the conditions of the new residential buildings and having a cordial conversation with the residents, the President of the country simultaneously put into operation in an online format 5 new facilities, including the buildings of secondary education institution No. 44 in the village of Safedmun, a medical center, a drinking water line for 557 households, a primary medical and sanitary aid institution, and an additional building of the Child Development Center.
In the Tojikobod district, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was accompanied by the Chairman of the Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Faizali Idizoda and heads of relevant ministries and agencies.
