On December 2, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, received the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Turkiye Numan Kurtulmus at the Palace of the Nation.

The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, expressed satisfaction with the level and content of relations between Tajikistan and Turkiye, including in the field of parliamentary diplomacy.

It was noted that comprehensive relations with Turkiye have a special status in the foreign policy of our state.

Great attention was paid to the high-level political dialogue and interparliamentary relations of the two countries to expand multifaceted relations.

The expansion of trade and economic cooperation was also an important topic of conversation.

In this regard, it was emphasized that our countries have the opportunity to have greater cooperation in the priority areas of the textile industry, aluminum processing, the implementation of investment projects in real sectors of the economy of Tajikistan, and the establishment of joint production enterprises based on local raw materials.

The activities of the Intergovernmental Commission for Economic Cooperation and the Turkish International Cooperation Agency (TIKA) were called an important means of expanding bilateral relations.

Both sides stressed their interest in enhancing the cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture, and tourism.

Also, a fruitful exchange of views took place on cooperation in the international arena to address pressing international and regional issues.
