On December 11, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with the President of Turkmenistan, Honorable Serdar Berdimuhamedov, on the sidelines of the Peace and Trust Forum in Ashgabat.
The meeting discussed a number of issues related to the further strengthening and expansion of multifaceted cooperation between the two countries.
Our Head of State, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, emphasized that Tajikistan is committed to developing cooperation with Turkmenistan in the spirit of strategic partnership.
Great attention was paid to strengthening trade, economic, and investment cooperation, expanding ties in the fields of transport, energy, industry, agriculture, and other areas.
The interest of both countries in expanding cultural and humanitarian ties was stressed.
During the conversation, the parties also discussed issues of cooperation within regional and international organizations.
