Tajikistan and Turkey Discuss Prospects for Tourism Cooperation

On January 26, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Turkey, Sodiq Imomi, met with the Deputy Minister of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, Nodir Alpaslan.
According to the Tajik Embassy in Turkey, during the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in the field of tourism. Both sides emphasized the importance of further strengthening ties between relevant government bodies and tourism companies of the two countries.
Special attention was paid to the exchange of experience in tourism planning and destination management, as well as the development of cultural, ecological, and mountaineering tourism. The parties also discussed opportunities for attracting Turkish investment into the tourism infrastructure of Tajikistan.
In addition, the training of highly qualified personnel and the exchange of specialists in the tourism sector were identified as priority areas for cooperation.
