President Emomali Rahmon Inaugurates Sughd-Arena Sports Complex in Khujand
On March 29, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, inaugurated the “Sughd-Arena” Sports Complex with a football field in Khujand and got acquainted with the sports games of the youth group of the Sughd Province.
The sports complex has 11 spacious halls, the main hall of which has a capacity of 1,000 seats for spectators. Now it is possible for teenagers and young people to train in 14 sports. This is the first sports complex in the Sughd Province, which has wide opportunities for practicing various sports, and now it is possible to hold regional, republican, and international competitions in accordance with the requirements.
50 new jobs have been created in the “Sughd-Arena” Sports Complex.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, highly appreciated the work done and the creation of exemplary conditions for youth and adolescents, and charged the officials of the relevant structures and athletes to make the most of the opportunities provided to hone their professional sports skills.
In the future, the national teams of the Sughd Province will improve their professional sports skills in such modern conditions to participate in republican and international competitions, which will contribute to increasing achievements.
The magnificent sports facility was built within the framework of the constructive policy of the Government of the country by the Executive Body of the State Power of the Sughd Province.
The stadium of the complex has 3,000 seats and is used as the material and technical base of the Khujand football team of the city of Khujand.
The area around the sports complex has been illuminated and landscaped in accordance with the requirements, and slogans and banners promoting a healthy lifestyle have been installed.
