A virtual meeting between the leadership of the National Museum of Tajikistan and the Museum of Civilizations in Rome was held to coordinate preparations for the international exhibition “Tajikistan – Land of Unique Monuments,” Khovar reported, citing the National Museum of Tajikistan.

The meeting was attended by Zafarsho Ibrohimzoda, director of the National Museum of Tajikistan; Dr. Luana Toniolo, director of the Museum of Civilizations in Rome; Jamoliddin Ubaidullo, ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of Tajikistan to Italy; and specialists from both institutions responsible for the exhibition’s organizational, scientific and technical preparations.

The participants discussed a range of issues related to the preparation and staging of the exhibition, including the preliminary design, production of banners and the exhibition catalog, translation and editing of exhibit captions, and technical arrangements for the transportation, packaging, installation and dismantling of museum artifacts.

They also discussed the participation of specialists from both institutions in the installation and dismantling phases, as well as compliance with technical and museum standards for handling the exhibits.

The participants emphasized the need for continued coordination of organizational, scientific and technical work and expressed their readiness to continue cooperation on the exhibition.
