This morning, a festive procession took place in honor of the 25th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan at Dusti square of the city of Dushanbe with the participation of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. The grand procession gathered 52 thousand students of higher educational institutions of the country, schoolchildren, and employees of public institutions that marched from Rudaki avenue up to Ismoili Somoni street.

During his address at the procession, President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon once again congratulated the inhabitants of the capital and all the glorious people of Tajikistan on the 25th anniversary of independence and freedom of our beloved homeland.

According to the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, at all times the Tajik people united for the improvement and beautification of the motherland, protected its borders and boundaries, pulled it out of difficult situations, disposed of the fate of its homeland, and preserved its people from disunity. Twenty-five years ago, we all witnessed the restoration of historical justice in the fate of its creative people, and how the glorious people of Tajikistan stood shoulder to shoulder in order to lay the foundation of a new independent and democratic state, and now our noble people is working diligently and in good faith to this day for further accomplishments and prosperity.

Following the address by the President of the country, representatives of executive bodies of state authority, officials of ministries and departments, representatives of individual sectors of the national economy, students of universities, colleges, schools, representatives of other sectors of society walked along the square with placards and banners that demonstrated love and loyalty to the Motherland, values of state independence of the Republic of Tajikistan, worthy merits of the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
