German Agro Action and “Mercy Corps” intend to develop cooperation with Tajik CESCD
DUSHANBE, 18.01.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The issues of strategic areas on disaster risk reduction by the implementation of the program DIPECHO-10 in the territory of Rasht district were discussed by the Chairman of the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CESCD) under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan Rustam Nazarzoda and the Country Director of the German Agro Action in Tajikistan Ms. Romy Lehns. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the head of press center of the CESCD Umeda Yusupova.
According to her, the Country Director of the international organization “Mercy Corps” Garrett Hubbard also attended the meeting.
“The issues of implementation of early warning systems of the population, provision of essentials, training and retraining of rescue divisions of the CESCD were discussed”, — said the source.
The sides expressed readiness to develop bilateral cooperation.
“Our joint efforts will be continued”, — emphasized the head of CESCD of the country.
