Republican festival-competition of professional theatres “Parastu-2017” starts in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 18.04.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Republican festival-competition of professional theatres “Parastu-2017” starts in Dushanbe today, April 18.
Accoring to the press centre of the Ministry of Culture of Tajikistan, the event is dedicated to the 20th anniversary of National Unity Day and the 100th anniversary of People’s Artist of the USSR Tuhfa Fozilova.
The competition will be attended by all professional theatres of the republic with the best performances created in 2015-2016. The choice of the theme for the performances is free, but the works of Tajik playwrights on the achievements of independence period, including on accord and unity, peace and tranquility, the fight against corruption and other negative phenomena have the advantage.
The creative team of the Tajik state academic drama theatre named after A. Lohuti will first present its play to the jury, which will be shown immediately after the opening ceremony of the festival.
This festival-competition is held for development of national dramatic art, theatrical art, creation of high-idea of domestic works, and improvement of professional skills of directors, actors, artists, and composers.
“Parastu 2017” is aimed at preserving historical and cultural national values and traditions”, — noted in the Ministry of Culture of the country.
