UAE plans to open embassy in Dushanbe
Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Aslov has met with Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on Thursday.
According to the Tajik MFA Information Department, during the meeting, the two sides discussed current state and prospects of further expansion of bilateral cooperation in the light of the realization of the agreements reached following the Tajik-UAE dialogue at the highest level during the official visit of President of Tajikistan to UAE on March this year.
They also discussed joint cooperation and ways to enhance ties in all fields, especially in the economic, trade, cultural and humanitarian ties, education, investment, tourism.
The parties stressed the importance of conducting inter-ministerial consultations with a view to expanding the legal basis of relationships and strengthening ties between business circles of Tajikistan and the UAE.
The two sides noted the need to develop the partnership between their two countries and proposed opening an embassy of the UAE in Dushanbe.
They also exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest.
