Trilateral meeting of the Heads of Tajikistan, Pakistan and Afghanistan to be held in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 04.07.2017. /NIAT «Khovar»/. On July 6, 2017 a trilateral meeting of the Heads of State of Tajikistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan is held in Dushanbe at the invitation of President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. Within the framework of the meeting, a wide range of issues will be discussed in the spheres of politics, economics and security.
According to the MFA Information Department, among economic issues, main focus will be on trade and investments, energy sector, transport infrastructure and strengthening ties between business communities of the three states.
In the spotlight were also, in particular, providing further support of efforts of the Government of Afghanistan toward ensuring peace and socio-economic development of the country and joint efforts to effectively combat regional and international security threats.
It is expected that a Joint Declaration by the Heads of the three countries will be issued after the Dushanbe Summit aimed at comprehensive partnership, establishing new mechanisms of interaction in key areas of cooperation and giving new impetus to regional processes.
