KABIRI AND OTHER TERRORISTS. The National Bank of Tajikistan published a list of 1178 physical persons and 15 organizations linked with terrorism
DUSHANBE, 25.08.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The National Bank of Tajikistan has published on its official website a new list of physical and legal persons, accused of terrorism and extremism by the relevant authorities of the Republic of Tajikistan. This list also included Muhiddin Kabiri, the chairman of the Islamic Renaissance Party, the activity of which is outlawed in Tajikistan. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the National Bank of Tajikistan.
It should be noted that 1178 individuals and 15 organizations as a legal persons are listed on the published list of the bank.
This list is developed in accordance with the Laws of the Republic of Tajikistan “On combating terrorism”, “On countering the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime, financing of terrorism and financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction” and the requirement “Procedure for the prevention and abolition of financial means or other property of physical persons and organizations included in the list of persons associated with terrorism”.
It should be noted that this procedure is an order of implementation of the international conventions and UN Security Council resolutions on counterfeiting the legalization (laundering) of proceeds from crime, financing of terrorism and financing of the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction (CLP/FT/FPWMD), and determines the obligation of the Financial Monitoring Department of the NBT, law enforcement agencies and other relevant organizations, which carry out operations with cash or other property and provide information on the CLP/FT/FPWMD.
According to this procedure, the national list includes physical and legal persons committing terrorist acts or attempting to execute them, attending terrorist acts or committing them on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan or beyond it promotes against the Republic of Tajikistan, preparing to commit terrorist acts against the other state, as well as organizations that directly or indirectly are owned or controlled by such persons, as well as individuals and organizations that function on behalf of or by orders of such persons or organizations, and directly or indirectly are owned or controlled by such persons or organizations.
This list is compiled by the relevant body of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the list, the following organizations are recognized as terrorist organizations by relevant decrees of the Supreme Court of the Republic of Tajikistan:
