Day of Jaloliddin Balkhii Rumi to be celebrated in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 29.09.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. A literary — cultural event dedicated to the Day of Jaloliddin Balkhii Rumi will be held on September 30 in the Tajik State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater named after Sadriddin Ayni in Dushanbe.
According to the Ministry of Culture, the event will be attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture, the Ministry of Education and Science, the Academy of Sciences of Tajikistan, the Writers’ Union of Tajikistan, pupils and students of the capital’s educational institutions.
The program of the event consists of the musical and literary composition of the Theater “Ahorun” named after M. Qasymov, the scientific reports of the staff of the Institute of Language and Literature named after A. Rudaki of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tajikistan, the recitation of poems and the performance of songs by the country’s poets and people’s artists of Tajikistan.
Mavlono Jaloliddin Muhammad Balkhii Rumi is known as Mavlono or Jaloliddin Rumi — an outstanding Tajik-Persian Sufi poet. Rumi’s literary activity is not diverse, but very significant. His lyrical “Divan”, still not thoroughly explored, contains qasidas, ghazals and rubais. The poet holds in them the idea of a person’s worth regardless of his earthly grandeur, he protests against the deadening formalism of religious ritual and scholasticism.
