The Ministry of Finance of Tajikistan and the World Bank discussed a new Partnership Program
DUSHANBE, 28.10.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The meeting of the First Deputy Minister of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan Jamshed Karimzoda with the World Bank mission headed by the Country Program Coordinator for Central Asia Sashi Jumen was held in Dushanbe on the eve. NIAT “Khovar” was informed by the secretariat of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Tajikistan.
The sides discussed the prospects of cooperation within the new Partnership Program of the country for 2019-2023 on the purpose of maintaining socio-economic sustainability and dynamic indicators of the growth of the Republic of Tajikistan.
It should be noted that the Program will be aimed at improving the quality and impact of fiscal policy, private sector development and regional integration. Thus, special attention will be paid to issues related to public sector reforms, supporting the activities of youth and migrants, a regional development platform, cross-border development programs and regional cooperation.
The World Bank Permanent Representative in the Republic of Tajikistan Jan-Peter Olters and Project Manager, Senior Social Development Specialist Robert Wrobel had also attended the meeting.
