Tajik, Russian Security Council Secretaries discussed further cooperation in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 01.11.2017 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The meeting of the Offices of the Security Councils of Tajikistan and Russia began in Dushanbe, on November 1st. Also, the meeting of Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Tajikistan Abdurahim Qahhorov with the Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Nikolay Patrushev was held at the event.
The press secretary of the Office of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Yevgeny Anoshin said that the parties discussed the issues of further strengthening cooperation in countering terrorism and extremism, including preventing the involvement of citizens of Tajikistan and Russia in armed conflicts on the side of international terrorist organizations, in the interview with correspondent of NIAT “Khovar”.
“The issues of combating drug trafficking, drug production, and transportation, prospects for military-technical cooperation between Russia and Tajikistan were also addressed. It was stressed that Russia and Tajikistan have close cooperation, which should be expanded even more within the CSTO, CIS, and SCO”, — Yevgeny Anoshin concluded.
