Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the UN attended the opening session of the High Level Political Forum 2018 on sustainable development
DUSHANBE, 10.07.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On July 9, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the UN Mahmadamin Mahmadaminov attended the opening session of the High Level Political Forum 2018 on sustainable development under the auspices of the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC). NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Tajikistan to the UN.
Ambassador Mahmadaminov in his capacity as the Vice President of ECOSOC presided over the interactive session on “SDG 6 – Ensure availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all”.
The Forum is the main multilateral mechanism in the UN system for reviewing the implementation of the Agenda for Sustainable Development for the period to 2030 (Agenda 2030). The main objective of the Forum is to promote the exchange of experience and best practices in achieving sustainable development.
