Ambassador of Tajikistan to the UN attended the side event entitled Hydrology towards sustainable resilient societies
DUSHANBE, 12.07.2018. /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the UN Mahmadamin Mahmadaminov on July 10 participated and addressed the side event Hydrology towards sustainable resilient societies, which was held in the framework of the High Level Political Forum 2018 on sustainable development.
NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the MFA Information Department.
In his statement Ambassador Mahmadaminov emphasized significant increase in number of extreme natural phenomena in Tajikistan, which causes serious damage to the population and the economy of the country and also noted the ever-increasing impact of climate change on the environmental situation in the country, as well as the high volume of glacier melting.
