China increased the number of quotas for Tajik citizens
DUSHANBE, 24.07.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan Saifiddin Khairiddin and Deputy Chairman of the Quota Secretariat of the People’s Republic of China Peter Wang Shengang discussed the issues of education development on July 23 here in Dushabe.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Education and Science of the country, during the meeting was noted that more than 3 thousand Tajik students are currently studying in China. If in 2017-2018 academic year, China allocated 300 quotas for Tajik citizens, then in 2018-2019 academic year, their number increased to 350. This indicates to the active development of interaction between the two countries.
“Under the Tajik National University and the Tajik Mining and Metallurgical Institute are functioning Confucius scientific and cultural centers, where Tajik students are engaged in studying Chinese culture, history and language”, — said Saifiddin Khairiddin.
The parties agreed to further strengthen bilateral cooperation in favor of the development of science and education of the two countries.
