DUSHANBE, 13.11.2018 /NIAT “Khovar”/. On November 12, Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan Nasim Olimzoda met with the Minister of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea Neunghu Park in Sejong city.

As the press centre of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan reports, during the meeting issues of bilateral cooperation, including such as processing of medicinal plants, folk medicine, creating joint ventures for the production of medical products in the Republic of Tajikistan, performing operations on the eyes, nervous fibers, heart and blood vessels, cosmetology, exchange of specialists, conducting training courses by Korean doctors in Tajikistan were discussed.

The meeting also signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Ministry of Health and Welfare of the Republic of Korea on cooperation in the field of health and medical science.

According to the source, the document was previously developed by the Republic of Korea on the basis of agreements within the framework of the Ninth Forum of Cooperation of the Republic of Korea with the countries of Central Asia (November 2015, Seoul).

It was noted that there are a lot of joint areas of cooperation with the Republic of Korea. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection of the Population of the Republic of Tajikistan is ready to use all available opportunities in the domestic and foreign policy of the country to further establish and develop bilateral cooperation.
