Somon Air Increases Flights Connecting Dushanbe to Khujand
DUSHANBE, 22.01.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – Somon Air has increased its flights connecting Dushanbe to Khujand. The change took effect on January 21.
This initiative was taken in connection with the temporary closure of the Dushanbe-Khujand highway and in order to meet the population’s need for transportation, reported Somon Air’s Press Center. airline.
The airline will operate flights on this route twice daily until the end of the month. In case the highway extends its closure into February, the airline will be ready to continue flying on this route twice a day, added the source.
This is not the first time the airline had to increase its frequency of flights on this route due to the closure of the highway connecting the capital with Khujand, which usually occurs in winter, because of hazardous weather.
