Qatari Emir Invited to Attend the Upcoming CICA Summit in Dushanbe
DUSHANBE, 12.02.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The Ambassador of Tajikistan in Qatar Khisrav Sohibzoda met with the Secretary General of the Qatari Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Bin Hassan Al Hammadi on Sunday, reported the Tajik Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting Sohibzoda extended President Emomali Rahmon’s invitation to the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani to participate in the 5th Summit Conference on Interaction and Confidence Building Measures in Asia (CICA), which will be held on June 2019 in Dushanbe.
“The Qatari side highly appreciates and supports President Emomali Rahmon’s initiatives aimed at ensuring peace, stability and constructive regional cooperation. The development and strengthening of bilateral and multilateral relations with Tajikistan is a priority for Qatar’s foreign policy,” noted Al Hammadi while expressing his gratitude for the invitation.
The meeting also focused on further development of the Tajik-Qatari cooperation in the political, trade, economic, investment, cultural and humanitarian spheres.
