Navruz United Tajiks, Kazakhs, Afghans, Turkmens, Uzbeks and Pakistanis in Azerbaijan
DUSHANBE, 18.03.2019. (NIAT Khovar) – The international Navruz holiday is being celebrated around the world. One such celebration took place in Baku. The event was organized by the Embassy of Tajikistan in Azerbaijan along with the embassies of Afghanistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and the UN in Baku.
The deputies of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan, representatives of ministries and departments, heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Baku, representatives of intellectuals, the public, as well as Tajik nationals living in Azerbaijan attended the festive event, reported the Tajik Embassy in Azerbaijan.
The Tajik Ambassador to Azerbaijan Rustam Soli, the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan Abulfez Garayev, and the Turkish Ambassador to Azerbaijan Ercan Ozoral made congratulatory speeches before the audience.
The Tajik Embassy organized a national corner of Tajikistan. The symbols of Navruz -2019, household items, hand embroidery, national hats and clothing of the country’s regions, folk music instruments, national dishes, as well as books and photos depicting the symbols of the holiday, natural resources and achievements of Tajikistan were presented to guests.
