French Film Festival Begins Today
DUSHANBE, 29.10.2019 (NIAT Khovar) – The second French Film Festival, organized by the French Embassy in Tajikistan and the Bactria Cultural Center will begin today in Dushanbe and will last through November 2.
The festival will include films from a variety of genres including comedy, drama and animation.
The dramatic comedy Vincent – Amphibian Man without Scales will open the festival today at 17:30. This feature film tells the story of a man who has secret super powers. The man falls in love with a woman who discovers his secret, which changes his life forever.
The King and the Bird, -the French classic of the 1979 animation genre, Small Farmer,-a modern drama describing the difficulties of village life in France, Polina, Dance Your Life,-the story of a young Russian ballerina which discovers the world of modern dance, and Barbara,- about the making of a film dedicated to the famous French singer will be shown at 17:30 in the following days in the cinema hall of Tajikfilm. They will be shown in French or Tajik with Russian subtitles. Admission is free.
