Khujand Opens New Virological Laboratory
DUSHANBE, 01.06.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – A new virological laboratory has opened its doors at the Center for State Sanitary and Epidemiological Surveillance in Sughd.
The region’s Chairman Rajabboy Ahmadzoda attended the opening ceremony.
“The opening of such a laboratory in Khujand will accelerate the rapid detection of infectious diseases, especially COVID-19,” said Ahmadzoda.
The laboratory was established for the detection of COVID-19. The lab can test up to 150-200 samples per day.
Until now, samples had to be sent to Dushanbe for testing.
