Tojikobod Residents Affected by the Earthquake Receive Financial Assistance

DUSHANBE, 27.08.2020. (NIAT Khovar) – Assistance was provided to 26 families of the Tojikobod district that were affected by the earthquake on July 4. The assistance came from the state material reserves, reports the Committee for Emergency Situations and Civil Defense (CESCD).
Allocated aid to the victims was delivered by a CESCD special working group.
The assistance was provided in the form of construction materials, including 78 tonnes of cement, 10.4 tonnes of reinforcement bars, 1,690 pieces of metal slate and 78 cubic meters of timber.
In the presence of the district commission, headed by the district’s Deputy Chairman Bakhtiyor Haknazar, the assistance was distributed to the affected families.
Additionally, these families were provided with one-time financial assistance from the governmental contingency fund totalling 25,850 somoni.
