DUSHANBE, 18.11.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, the Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Jamoliddin Abdullozoda took part in the World Innovation Summit for Health (WISH), which was held online under the auspices of the Chairperson of Qatar Foundation Sheikha Moza bint Nasser under the slogan «One World for Our Health.»

The meeting began with speeches by the Executive Chair of WISH, Professor Lord Darzi and Sheikha Moza bin Nasser, after which a documentary was shown on the state of human health and the risk of the second wave of COVID-19 in different regions.

World Health Organization Secretary General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus also delivered his speech and expressed his deep concern about the further spread of COVID-19. He called on the international community to do its part to protect the health of citizens and prevent this disease.

Over 2,800 representatives of the world’s health ministries and representatives of private industry organizations are in attendance.

The summit began on November 15 and will run until November 19.
