Ambassador Karimi Presents Credentials to the OIC Secretary General

DUSHANBE, 25.12.2020 (NIAT Khovar) – On Tuesday, the Ambassador of Tajikistan to Saudi Arabia Akram Karimi presented his credentials as the Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the Organization for Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to the Organization’s Secretary General Yousef bin Ahmed Al-Othaimeen.
Following the ceremony, Ambassador and Secretary General held a meeting, where they discussed the issues of cooperation between Tajikistan and the OIC, as well as its subsidiary organs.
As an active member of the international community, Tajikistan gives priority to strengthening multilateral cooperation within the OIC.
The parties also exchanged views on topical international and regional issues, mechanisms for countering modern threats and challenges, and joint efforts to overcoming the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic.
