Speaker of Afghan House of the People: Tajikistan Supports Restoring Peace in Afghanistan

DUSHANBE, 01.03.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, President Emomali Rahmon received the Speaker of Afghanistan’s House of the People Mir Rahman Rahmani.
“The issues relating to the process of peace talks in Afghanistan, Afghan migrants, and trade between the two countries have been discussed at the meeting with President Rahmon, who reaffirmed the support of the Tajik side to the peace in Afghanistan. We are grateful for these efforts,” said Rahmani at a briefing following the meeting.
Rahmani arrived in Tajikistan on the evening of February 27.
Today, he will also meet with the Speaker of Representatives Assembly Mahmadtoir Zokirzoda.
Rahmani is also expected to meet with the Minister of Economic Development and Trade and the General Prosecutor tomorrow.
As part of his official visit, Rahmani and his accompanying delegation will visit the National Museum and Kohi Navruz.
