DUSHANBE, 09.04.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – The approval of the draft decree for the Medium-Term Program for the Protection of Population and Territories for 2021-2023 was discussed on April 7 in Dushanbe at a meeting of the permanent expert group of the National Platform of Tajikistan for Disaster Risk Reduction.

The meeting was attended by representatives of 15 ministries and departments.

The meeting focused on the preparation for the meeting of the National Platform on Disaster Risk Reduction, which is scheduled for April 30, and the monitoring and implementation of the Sendai Framework Program of the National Strategy for Disaster Risk Reduction.

One of the main topics of the meeting was the forecasting of and preparation for natural disasters, aerial observations of snow reserves in the mountains, and the quality of preventive and coastal protection works in vulnerable areas in the regions.
