Tajik Delegation Attends the Meeting of the High-level Political and Security Dialogue between CA and the EU

DUSHANBE, 02.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday, Tashkent hosted the meeting of the High-level political and security dialogue between Central Asia (CA) and the European Union (EU).
The Deputy Ministers of Foreign Affairs of CA countries, Afghanistan and the Deputy Secretary General of the European External Action Service attended the meeting. The Tajik side was represented by the Deputy Foreign Minister Muzaffar Huseinzoda.
The parties exchanged views on cooperation between the countries of CA, the EU and Afghanistan in preventing and eliminating the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic, combating security challenges in the region and strengthening joint efforts to address current problems.
Delegations also considered climate change mitigation and environmental issues.
Following the meeting, the parties discussed preparations for the next high-level meetings within the framework of cooperation between CA, the EU and Afghanistan, as well as the implementation of joint priority projects.
