Tajikistan and the U.S. Hold Political Consultations

DUSHANBE, 02.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Yesterday in Washington DC, Tajikistan and the U.S. held the eighth round of annual bilateral political consultations headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin and Acting Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Dean Thompson.
The consultations focused on cooperation between the two countries in four dimensions such as political, economic and environmental, security, and human.
The parties also discussed a wide-range of issues of the development of bilateral relations between Tajikistan and the U.S. in the political, economic, health, security, education, scientific and cultural spheres, as well as other issues of mutual interest.
They also exchanged views on countering contemporary threats and challenges, human rights and strengthening relations within the framework of international organizations and regional cooperation.
