Tajik and Indian FMs Discus Bilateral Relations Development

DUSHANBE, 15.07.2021. (NIAT Khovar) — Yesterday, on the sidelines of the meeting of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers and the first meeting of the SCO-Afghanistan Contact Group in Dushanbe, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin met with the Indian External Affairs Minister Subrahmaniyam Jaishankar.
The meeting focused on the development of bilateral relations, and implementation of agreements reached by the leaders of the two countries to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and India in various fields.
The ministers also addressed the issues of expanding and strengthening trade and economic ties, investment and scientific and technical cooperation, cooperation in the field of industry, energy, culture and education.
The parties exchanged views other issues related to the interaction of Tajikistan and India within the framework of international and regional organizations and the security situation in the region.
