President of Tajikistan To Pay a State Visit to Turkmenistan

DUSHANBE, 27.07.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – President Emomali Rahmon will pay a state visit to Turkmenistan on August 4-5. This was announced today at a press conference by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin.
“The Tajik side hopes that this will be a historic visit,” said Muhriddin.
He noted that a meeting of the Tajik-Turkmen Intergovernmental Commission on Trade and Economic Cooperation will be held in Dushanbe on July 28-29.
According to him, during the reporting period, in the field of bilateral relations with Turkmenistan, the necessary measures have been taken to implement the agreements reached between the two countries in 2019 in Ashgabat.
The roadmap for the development of intersectoral and interagency cooperation between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan was adopted in May 2021 which includes a number of joint activities.
