Tajikistan and the US Develop Cooperation
DUSHANBE, 13.08.2021 (NIAT Khovar) – Tajikistan and the United States are strengthening cooperation in the field of health. This was stated on August 11 at the meeting of the First Deputy Minister of Health and Social Protection of the Population Ghafur Muhsinzoda with the US Ambassador John Mark Pommersheim and UNICEF Representative Osama Makkawi.
On behalf of the Tajik government Muhsinzoda thanked the US government for its assistance in the fight against COVID-19, in particular through the donation of the Moderna vaccine.
In order to get acquainted with the course of the vaccination campaign against COVID-19, the officials visited the Health Center №13 where they observed the progress of the vaccination.
On July 26, US delivered 1.5 million doses of Moderna vaccine.
